Advocacy & Government Relations
Wisconsin Lakes serves as your collective voice in Madison. We communicate directly to state government and environmental organizations to educate them and to champion policies that protect, preserve, and enhance Wisconsin’s precious lakes and rivers.
Education & Trusted Information
Knowledge is protection. We provide our members with trusted informational resources—including expert presentations, regular news posts, and timely policy announcements—to keep you and your community updated on critical environmental issues and best practices.
Events & Community Building
You are part of a massive network. With our partners we organize premier regional and statewide events, such as the Wisconsin Lakes & Rivers Convention and the Northwest and Southern Lake Conferences, bringing passionate stakeholders together to learn and collaborate.
Water Quality & Science Partnerships
Protect your lake with data. By partnering with leading scientific institutions like UW-Madison and UW-Stevens Point, we help local lake organizations to track water quality trends and implement proven solutions to combat pollution and ecological degradation of their lakes.
Sustainable Recreation
Water enjoyment and conservation can coexist. We work closely with the WDNR to promote recreational best practices for fishing and watersports, ensuring our lakes remain high-quality habitats and beautiful spaces for generations to come and enjoy outdoor water activities.
Collaborative Funding & Partnerships
We bridge the gap between local groups, businesses and state agencies. Our strategic partnerships with the WDNR, Extension Lakes, and other key entities help local organizations navigate complex regulations and secure funding for cooperative projects.
Digital Tools for Lake Associations (Lakekit)
WI Lakes can help bring your local lake group into the digital age of communication. Through our Lakekit project, members gain access to tailored web technology built specifically for lake associations and districts. Easily manage your group with professional website designs, integrated email marketing, and dedicated apps like our Clean Boats Clean Waters shift scheduler to effectively prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Any interested person is eligible to join Wiscosnin Lakes in the Individual category. Joining is easy and our suggested member levels help you grow your support and value!
ORGANIZATION & aFFILIATE
Starting at:
$100/yr
Organizational members are governmental entities and nonprofit organizations having significant lake and waterway management, protection, or improvement purposes. Dues are based on the size of the organization.
Corporate
Starting at:
$1000/yr
Corporate members are for profit organizations involved in the technology and conservation of lakes. Corporate members are eligible to join with board approval. Annual dues are $1000 per year. This fee covers the basic membership rights. Additional value is provided through our corporate sponsorship program.
LEGACY GIVING & DONATIONS
You don’t have to join to contribute to Wisconsin Lakes. We accept gifts and free-will contributions to help us preserve and protect Wisconsin’s natural waters. All gifts are 100% tax deductible.
One-Time & Recurring Donations:
Make a tax-deductible contribution to support special projects, legal funds, or legislative education and advocacy. You may earmark your contribution to the funds of your choice.
