Wisconsin-Lakes-MembershipThe power of Wisconsin Lakes lies in its members. Of all the things to do and places to visit in Wisconsin, we all know how many of them are made special by the lakes that define them. You likely already spend many hours volunteering to protect and improve your favorite lake or lakes, advocating for local and statewide policy and doing what needs to be done the preserve these precious natural resources.

The staff and board of Wisconsin Lakes work to aid you in your journey by providing the news and insights you need to stay informed; by providing education and technical assistance on everything from how to form your lake organization to how to talk to a legislator; and by working with lawmakers to ensure a reasonable and fair public policy that adequately protects our lakes and rivers in Wisconsin.

Your memberships and donations underwrite much of what we do, and are crucial to our success. Join the thousands of lake organizations and citizens across Wisconsin protecting our lakes today.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERS: Organizational members form the backbone of Wisconsin Lakes. More than 300 lake associations and lake districts commit every year to working together through Wisconsin Lakes to protect and preserve their own lake, as well as lakes in general statewide. In addition to helping to provide the resources necessary to support our educational and technical assistance programs that aid your organization, Wisconsin Lakes organizational members may designate ten of their own members to receive The Lake Connection, an electronic periodical focusing on stories and information helpful to organizations. Member associations in good standing are also eligible for Directors and Officers Insurance through an umbrella policy Wisconsin Lakes has negotiated with Horton Group. Lake organization dues are one of the primary sources of funding for our work with lake organizations, from one-on-one phone calls working through an issue, to building a campaign to pass legislation that benefits associations and districts.
