Wisconsinites Win National Lake Awards!

Congratulations to Candy Ramsey and Bill James on their recognition from the North American Lake Management Society!

Candy Ramsey of the Spider Chain of Lakes Association and Bill James, Director of the Center for Limnological Research and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin – Stout, were both given awards from the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) at its conference in Minneapolis this past November.

Candy, also a 2022 Wisconsin Lake Stewardship Award winner, received the Community Education and Outreach Award for Leadership and Service.

Bill, a longtime supporter and participant in NALMS, received the Secchi Disk Award which recognizes an individual member considered to have contributed the most to the achievement of NALMS’ goals.

The North American Lake Management Society, of which Wisconsin Lakes is a nonprofit member, works to forge partnerships among citizens, scientists, and professionals to foster the management and protection of lakes and reservoirs for today and tomorrow.
