The Central Sands Needs Water to Survive
December 13, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The quantity and quality of lakes, rivers, wetlands, and well water is degrading in many parts of Central Wisconsin. Information about the reasons why water levels are changing can be confusing or misleading. Often homeowners and businesses feel helpless to address the problems.
This meeting will help people learn about surface and groundwater connections and provide ways to get involved in protecting the water in Central Wisconsin. Speakers for the meeting include
- Anne Abbott, Reinhart Lake Association
- Tom Kunes, Pleasant Lake Management District
- Dave Marshall, Aquatic ecologist
- Carl Sinderband, Attorney
- Ken Wade, Hydrogeologist
This meeting is presented by the Central Sands Water Action Coalition (CSWAC). CSWAC represents more than 32,000 members and their families in 61 lake associations, districts and organizations concerned with negative impacts on water resources in the Central Sands Region of Wisconsin.
